Why San Diego Is One Of The Best American Cities For Beer Lovers

A recent analysis revealed which U.S. cities are the best for beer drinkers and San Diego made it to the top 10.

Clever, a real estate discount company, used publicly available data to rank 50 American cities from best to worst when it comes to beer.

They used the following metrics to determine their ranking:

• The number of breweries within each greater metropolitan area
• The density of breweries per 100 square miles
• The average number of beers per brewery
• The average number of beer styles per brewery

So where does San Diego rank on the list?

According to the list, San Diego is the 10th best city in America for beer drinkers.

"San Diego showed up on the list at #10 boasting 69 breweries, 36 average beers, and 14 beer styles," writes Eat This, Not That!

These are the top 10 best American cities for beer, according to Clever:

1. San Francisco
2. Indianapolis
3. Chicago
4. Philadelphia
5. Los Angeles
6. Portland
7. Denver
8. Tampa
9. Cleveland
10. San Diego
