7 San Diego Schools Locked Down Due To Anonymous Threat

Multiple schools in the 4S Ranch were placed on lockdown early Thursday afternoon as police investigated an anonymous threat made from a Google phone number using an robotic voice. The nature of the threat was not disclosed, but in an abundance of caution, the following schools were locked down:

  • Del Norte High School
  • Oak Valley Middle School
  • Stone Ranch
  • Monterey Ridge
  • Del Sur elementary schools
  • Design39Campus
  • Maranatha Christian Schools

In a Tweet sent at 2:10pm, the San Diego County Police Department said, All the lockdowns have been lifted. Students are reuniting with their parents. The investigation continues into the threat. There will be an extra police presence tomorrow. We thank our community for their patience."
